Syeria

Hi everyone..

Today I'm going to share one of my many favourite designs...  Syeria....
I will be showing progression photos..
I haven't draw a face since high school. I thought here goes . I could either stuff it up or it would turn out ok..... well as you can see it turned out ok...

Step 1.... drawing the face... not easy when I hadn't done one for ages...

Step 2... draw the rest of the design... as you can see I put a piece of hair across the face because I couldn't quiet get the face right.... I use a light HB pencil and I only use very light pressure

Step3.   Go over design with your pen I used a no.5 to do this.. add some shading using dots

Step 4. now its time to fill in the hair you can just use a few designs and repeat them like I have or you could do each one different its your choice

Here is a close up of the face... as you can see I've decided to add some colour,
I have kept it quiet suttle... not to heavy..

here is my finished piece. I just love it...
and it's framed... keep the framing quiet simple let the design stand out

Pebbles step by step

Hi everyone,

Sorry guys... I have been able to load anything new been away and trying to organise this new kitchen...

This is the another pattern for the day..

this one is one of my favourites I use it in nearly all my designs... and you will love it too

Pebbles

you can do this pattern very perfect or you can do it very messy
I will load up two different
designs and you will see the difference

I have enlarged this so you can see how its done.

if you use uneven lines you end up with a different look.
so your pebbles will looks different sizes...

There is a design I did earlier in the year using this pattern

I love this design for background work... it just makes the design pop

So I hope this helps you get started have fun tangeling

About Zentangle and my first design

Hi everyone.....

I thought I would talk about Zentangle and what it means:

Zen means relax and Tangle is just that tangling designs together... the original zentangle are done on a 3.5"x3.5" piece of art paper which is called a tile. This size allows a pieces of art work to be finished in relatively short time. This method is a meditative art form. Doing a small piece you don't need a rubber because there are no mistakes in Zentangle. This method allows you to do anything you like on the tile..

The Zentangle Method is easy to do, relaxing, and lots of fun to create beautiful images, by drawing simple patterns together..
Almost anyone can do it. You will create stunning, beautiful images. You can be as simple or very complex with your designs..
The Zentangle Method is enjoyed all over the world by many of all ages, this method is great for children ( my grandson loves it) It is also open for a range of skills from beginners who have never done any type of art form, to experts who just want to try something new

Creating Zentangle art provides a fun and great way to relax.

Everything you need for Zentangle is very Portable.... you don't need a large art pad, you can use a small one so that you can do it anytime of the day... waiting for the kids after school, at the football, having a cuppa at McDonalds absolutely anywhere...

Today I'm going show you my very first Zentangle..

This is my Heart.... not knowing what to do at the time I just found some patterns online and went for it...  it was so much fun I was hooked

this close up will allow you to see the patterns clearly...

yes I don't do tiles as they are called because I love working on the larger scale... I will be loading some of my other designs....

so have fun checking out Zentangles and enjoy the challenge

Lately I try to makeup my own patterns...

What is neded before you start

Hey everyone....

Please bear with me because I'm new at this and it is defiantly a challenge with what to say...

How did I get into Zentangles... I came across it on Instagram and also Pinterest....
I remember thinking I could do that and decided to give it a go...

so I bought a few things that I needed... and you will need also..... it's not an expensive hobby and you don't need heaps of space to do it..

1.   A3 or A4 drawing pad .... you can get them at any craft store
2.   A couple of HB pencils
3.   I use unipin fine line Pens.... sizes I use heaps are    0.8  0.5  0.2  0.1  0.05
there are many different brands you can buy.... I didn't have much to pick from
      living in a small town.....
4.   A decent Rubber
5.   A Ruler
6.   A Compass to do perfect circles
7.   A Protractor

You can also buy books on Zentangle... you can get these at the Book Depositary..
I have a couple but mostly I use the internet to check out other peoples work for ideas and also Pinterest for the patterns..... there is heaps to check out...

I hope this has helped a bit in what you need....
